February 27, 20134. Reading and planning
Reading the exam paper and planning your answers before answering could save you a lot of time, or at least panic. Answering the easy questions and the ones you don’t need to look up first will save you time. This will give you a good idea of how much extra time you have to spend on the more difficult questions or where you will need to refer to notes.
This may sound obvious, but read each question carefully and make sure you answer all aspects of it. I underlined each part of the question that I needed to answer and ticked them off as I went. This meant that I knew I had said everything I wanted to and I could keep a track of my thought processes.
Planning the answer in some way will help you ensure you cover everything you want to. Also if you realise you are short on time, bullet pointing what you wanted to cover may actually get you some marks.
