February 27, 20136. Note the marking schemes
As well as an idea of time, the marking schemes can give you an idea of how much detail you need to give – writing an essay for a one-mark question is a waste of time. Conversely, only having three points for a seven-mark question indicates you might be missing something. Come back to those questions at the end of the exam, don’t waste time waiting for inspiration to hit. It might be another question or returning with fresh eyes will help you remember.
