February 27, 20131. Preparation
I have already covered much of the preparation that you need in my ‘Exam Preparation’ post, which you can find here.
In terms of preparation for the day, try to get a good night’s sleep, make sure you have the right notes with you and only those materials that you are permitted, and enough stationery to last the 3+ hours of writing. Fundamentally, make sure you have the materials you absolutely need to do the exam. A classmate of mine turned up to the professional conduct exam with her solicitors accounts rules book. Although she was supplied with a copy of the solicitor’s code of conduct from the law library eventually, she had to start without it and no doubt the panic that set in meant she didn’t do her best. Don’t let that be you!
