February 24, 2017How To Stand Out As A Recent Law School Graduate
March 8, 2017Earlier this month, international law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) announced its decision to commence training contracts in its Manchester office. BLP is an award-winning, leading international law firm, headquartered in London, with 14 other offices across Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Opened in 2014, its Manchester office is continuing to grow in headcount.
Mark Grayson, Head of Operations, Manchester, said: “The new trainee scheme is part of BLP’s commitment to offering long-term career progression for our employees and developing their talent. Working in the largest legal market outside of London here in Manchester, our trainees will be a huge asset to the wider Firm.”
BLP already has five legal apprentices working in its Manchester office as part of the ‘Trailblazer Apprenticeship’ scheme, a work-based learning route to qualifying as a solicitor which takes 6-7 years to complete. The training contract positions will open shortly for current Manchester-based BLP employees, for commencement as early as September 2017. It is expected that the training contracts will be opened up to the wider market in 2018.
