It took me six and a half years.
To some people, that sounds like a long time. To others, it’s nothing. The truth is, time is relative, and comparing your timeline to someone else’s serves no purpose.
Some people qualify in six years. Others take ten. Some take even longer because life happens: careers change, opportunities appear, family commitments arise, or setbacks get in the way.
What matters isn’t how quickly you get there, what matters is that you don’t give up. Your career isn’t a race, and there isn’t a prize for finishing first. The only finish line that matters is reaching the one you set for yourself.
Keep going. Your timeline is still the right one.
