    The City Law School is one of London’s major law school’s providing legal training from undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels, suitable for anyone interested in following a career in law. In addition, the School also offers a wide range of tailored CPD courses for qualified lawyers and those in associated professions. Taught across two sites, Northampton Square and Gray’s Inn Place, The City Law School was the first law school in London to educate students and practitioners at all stages of legal education.

    In September 2016, the university officially became a member college of the University of London, and the university is now known as City, University of London. This will help deliver a range of opportunities and benefits to all our students.

  • Facilities

    The City Law School currently teaches from two sites: Northampton Square for the undergraduate and law conversion programmes, and Gray’s Inn Place for the Master of Laws, and the professional programmes. Each site has a dedicated law library and Student Common rooms, exclusively for the use of our law students. Students also have access to online legal journals, books and articles to aid study.

    Students are also welcome to use the main university facilities including a large library on main campus, a number of refectories and food outlets, the City student bar and CitySport – the leisure a gym facilities.

    Funding and Finance

    Postgraduate scholarships are available for students to apply to. Up to 10 full fee scholarships are available, and up to 100 part fee scholarships.

    Employability

    93% of undergraduate students go on to employment or further studies. (Unistats, 2016.)

    The School is dedicated in providing extra support and guidance for all law students, including the Pupillage Advisory Service for Bar students, the Training Contracts Advisory Service for LPC students, and opportunities for students to take part in prop bono projects and national and international mooting competitions.

    The law school has a thriving Student Law Society, with opportunities for students to become a member, as well as join other clubs and societies, run by the Student’s Union.
