About The Student Lawyer

On November 5th 1855 Abraham Lincoln, a lawyer and future 16th President of the United States wrote in a letter to a law student “If you are resolutely determined to make a lawyer of yourself, the thing is more than half done already.” We think this quote perfectly sums up what The Student Lawyer is all about.

The Student Lawyer was created over the summer of 2011 by a group of LLB students. The aim was to create a free online resource which would make legal news and articles accessible to future lawyers. Everything on the site is written by law students or practising professionals and is aimed solely at those hoping to become lawyers or have recently started their career. The Student Lawyer is intended for law students of all levels, across the world and is entirely free. If you are serious about a career in the law, we hope that The Student Lawyer will become an indispensable part of the journey to your desired career.
