Clear the Lobby: What laws are MPs voting on this week? – w/c 22nd April

Welcome to our weekly feature courtesy of Sebastian Salek, the brains behind Clear the Lobby, working to bring you all the laws MPs are voting on this week, and explained in plain English!

A three-day week to ease MPs back after Easter recess. As well as the ten minute rule motion on gambling, they’ll be going through more of the statutory instruments that need to be approved before Brexit. It’s Opposition Day on Wednesday, when Labour gets to decide what’s debated.

Establishes a review into taxing gambling companies and using the revenues for research on gambling addiction, protection for children and other vulnerable people, and gambling addiction clinics. Ten minute rule motion presented by Richard Graham.
