Eight months ago, Hogan Lovells ended its association with Indonesian firm Hermawan Juniarto. The firm has recently re-established its presence in the region with a new alliance with Dewi Negara Fachi & Partners (DNFP). DNFP specialises in corporate and financial transactions and has just added its third partner to the firm. Hogan Lovells’ managing partner for the Asia Pacific region Patrick Sherrington stated that the new alliance is a “significant milestone” and furthers their ability to “shape is strategy and expand its client offering in an entirely new way”.
Hogan Lovells has company in the region with other international firms seeing the region as an ideal outpost leading to the creation of cross-border alliances as well as the opening of new offices. White & Case and Holman Fenwick Wilan recently launched in the region after both pilfering partners from silver circle firm Herbert Smith Freehills.
